Kayaking - Basic Skills Course

This introductory to kayaking course is run over two Thursday evenings and is designed to help new paddlers learn the essential skills to start paddling independently.  Our professional instructors will guide you through the required equipment with purchase recommendations, identify major safety hazards inherent to the sport, help with trip planning tips and offer a gentle progression of on water paddling skill development.

This course is great for people interested in exploring kayaking for the first time, are a little nervous on or in the water, are considering buying a kayak and not sure where to start and would like some experience first, or would like to feel more confident having practices rescues and re-entries a few times.

This course is a national Paddle Canada certification and is a great investment for your future day tripping adventures on our many beautiful lakes and rivers.  All equipment is included and a detailed course package is set to you upon registration.
