Beach Volleyball Drop-In

Want to add more Volleyball to your life? Join us on Friday evenings this Summer for Volleyball Drop-In! 

 

Games are played for fun and no score will be recorded. Players are asked to monitor their own substitutions to ensure equal opportunity for all players.

 

All skill levels are welcome!

COVID-19 Protocol & Guideline

We are committed to providing the highest levels of safety for our community.  

To ensure player and staff safety, we have implemented mandatory 'Safe Return to Play Protocol & Guidelines' for all Club Activities.  In order to play with the Kingston Sport & Social Club and stay in good standing, the following guidelines MUST be followed.  A zero-tolerance policy is in place for those who challenge these decisions.   

To ensure a successful season, please remember to practice safe physical distancing and a positive attitude!

All players are required to read, understand, and adhere to all COVID-19 Guidelines.

Start / End Dates

Friday: Starts Friday, June 11 and ends on Friday, August 27.
 

League start and end dates are subject to change.  KSSC endeavors to provide registered players and individuals with as much notice as possible should changes occur.

Game Times

Drop-in Volleyball will run from 6:00pm - 8:00pm (2 hours).

 

The courts will be reserved for 2 hours (stay for the full time or drop by when you like).

Price & Registration Options

Individual registration: $110.00 + HST.

What you need to know about Drop-In Volleyball:


# of People on Court & Skill Level

This is a drop-in league. Your opponent will be different for each game. The courts will be reserved for 2 hours (stay for the full time or drop by when you like).

 

Open skill level, everyone welcome. Courts will be ranked according to skill.

Mandatory Requirements

COVID-19 LEAGUE MODIFICATIONS - Each sport has specific mandatory requirements. 

Beach Volleyball Drop-In: 

  • 12 players maximum per court.
  • 48 participants maximum per season.

1) Game day wellness checks “COVID-19 Self Screening” must be completed by all players prior to participation.

2) Players must maintain physical distancing of 2-meters before and after all activities.  This includes arriving on-site, resting/sitting on the sidelines, and departing the game.

3) No Spectators are allowed under any circumstance (this includes kids, family and pets).

Equipment
Requirements

COVID-19 LEAGUE MODIFICATIONS - Teams are required to wash/sanitize the game ball before the game, between each set, and after the game.  Do not share your game ball with other teams.

  • Beach Volleyball nets will be set-up each week by the Game Coordinator. 
  • 1 Volleyball per court will be available onsite.
  • Scoreboards will not be provided on-site.

Sanitization options will be available on-site for Volleyballs.


Rules

COVID-19 RULE MODIFICATIONS - Please refer to the sport rules page to view league rules.  It is the responsibility of all players to read and understand the sport specific rules as well as the general rules & club policies.

Modified Score & Spirit Point Reporting

  • There will not be trophies or prizing this season, however, leagues will have playoffs, scores, and standings.
  • The “Spirit Score” system for Teams is still in place to share recognition or concerns with us.

About Spirit Points: Spirit points are awarded to a team from their opponent after each game to encourage sportsmanship, honesty, integrity, and fair play.  For more information and how to properly award spirit points, please see our section ‘All About Spirit Points’.
