Spikeball

Spikeball (aka Roundnet) is BACK for Sprummer 2020! 

 

This exciting sport is all the rage and one of North-America's fastest growing sports.  It's a combination of Volleyball and Four Square all wrapped into one sport and a great way to spend an afternoon.

 

This exciting 2 vs. 2 game is easy to learn, but a challenge to master.  If you've ever wanted to try it, now is your chance! Take part in one of the hottest new games while enjoying a fun environment with music and friends!

 

Come out, play, meet new people and after the game, enjoy a pint at our partner pub!  Wednesday's have never been better!

 

Registration deadline is Thursday, June 25 @ midnight!

 


Sprummer 2020 Details: 

Start / End Dates

Wednesday: Starts Wednesday, July 8 and ends Wednesday, August 26.

# of Weeks

8 weeks (7 regular season games + 1 playoff games).

Estimated Game Times

Start times of 6:30pm. 

 

Teams play two 45-minute games for 90 minutes.

Bye and Make Up Dates

There are no bye dates.

Registration Options & Price

Team registration: $150 + HST

 

After checkout, send your teammates roster invites through the website (under "My Team" player list) so they can accept the waiver and access the schedule and standings once it is posted.   



Individual registration: $80 + HST. 

 

You will be placed on a roster of individuals by end of day Friday, July 3. For ease of communication with our office, teams must select a captain and co-captain on our website to represent your individuals team. Click here to learn more about Individual teams.

Captain Handbook and Equipment Pick Up

Team Registrants: Equipment (if required) and captain handbooks will be provided at your first game.

  

Individual registrants: After July 3, we ask that all individual players contact their teammates through our website (you can log in, click on "My Team", then "Player List") to confirm a fun team name, team captain and equipment requirements.

Individual team rosters and schedules will be posted online by end of day Friday, July 3.

What you need to know about Spikeball!  


# of People on Court

2 players (no gender requirement, although we encourage coed teams).

 

Suggested Roster

Suggested team roster of 2-4 players.

 

Individual team rosters will have 3 players on a team.

Equipment

Teams are required to bring their own spikeball net and ball to every game. Equipment will not be provided on-site. 

 

If a team requires equipment, a Spikeball kit is available to rent from KSSC.  The kit includes, one net, 2 balls and a travel bag. A $150 refundable deposit is required and payable with credit card, cheque or through the website during online registration (in shopping cart).  Equipment will be available to pick-up at the Meet & Greet event.

Rules

Please refer to the sport rules page to view league rules.  It is the responsibility of all players to read and understand the sport specific rules as well as the general rules & club policies.

Score & Spirit Point Reporting

  • Game Scores (account for 75% of total points): Team captains are responsible for reporting the scores after your game by logging into your player profile and clicking on ‘My Team’ tab and selecting ‘Report Score/Spirit Points’.  Teams have a 48 hour window to report scores after the completion of the game.  Please be timely with your score reporting so league standings can remain updated for playoff positioning.
  • Spirit Points (account for 25% of total points): Spirit points are awarded to a team from their opponent after each game to encourage sportsmanship, honesty, integrity and fair play.  For more information and how to properly award spirit points, please see our section ‘All About Spirit Points’.
