All About Event Coordinators

"What is an Event Coordinator?" you ask? EC's play an important role in many of our leagues. EC's are members of the staff team that you will see in "STAFF" shirts during evenings at your gym location.

You will often see Event Coordinators out during the following league sports:

  • Volleyball
  • All Sorts of Sports
  • Floor Hockey
  • Dodgeball
  • Basketball
  • Turf leagues

Their role is a to be a neutral supporter of both teams in every game, to help stop and start games, and to be a resource for teams and players that have questions about rules or upcoming events.

Event Coordinators ARE NOT REFEREES, but they are present to help diffuse conflict and to be a mediator in our self-officiated game settings.

We want to know how our ECs are doing on league nights! Tell us how they are doing! Event Coordinators are the face of our organization and it's critical that we know how our leagues are being run in the evenings.

To Team Captains: when you log in to the website to report your scores and spirit, be sure to utilize the EC Feedback Form under your "My Team" menu. We appreciate hearing feedback that we can share with our EC team.

"Interested in becoming an EC?" you say? Great! The job of the EC is a role in sport and is greatly rewarding. You have ownership over the league nights in which you coordinate. Shifts are convenient and flexible. EC-ing great way to meet new people, make new friends, and expand your professional network. Did we mention you receive league registration discounts on both team and individual registrations?
